What is your/your family's why for running your business?

Starting my own business was something I had always thought I would do in the future; it just happened sooner than planned. Life has a way of putting things into perspective and I knew it was something I needed to do. Since starting my own business I've been able to go on band trips with my nephew, have my niece stay a week with me while doing a pottery camp, take my nephew on a college tour of Berry, and so much more. Not to mention my upcoming trip to Disney and to see Taylor Swift in Miami, as well as a Disney Cruise. Owning my own business has allowed me so much more flexibility and time. I'm doing what I love and have the time for so many other things I love.

Tell us a little about yourself, your family(if family business)or work family:

I graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor's in Communication and a Master's in Public Administration. After college, I worked for over six years with the City of Rome Downtown Development as the Marketing & Events Manager. There I brought back First Fridays, doubled the size of Fiddlin' Fest, helped rebrand downtown, grew the social media presence exponentially, presented at two Georgia Downtown conferences, and so much more.  I am also very active in our community. I currently serve on the Heart of the Community Board and the Junior Service League Board. I am also a founding executive board member for the Children's Museum of Rome. In 2023 I was named the Rome Floyd Chamber's Young Professional and JSU's Young Alum of the Year. I also won the judge's choice in the Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge that benefits the Sexual Assault Center of Rome.

Why do you choose Floyd county for yourself/family and your business?

I grew up in Plainville, which is right between Rome and Calhoun. While I went to school in Gordon County, I spent a great deal of time in Rome. My dad grew up in Lindale and then I worked for seven years at the Rome Braves.  Upon graduating, I knew my dream job was marketing for a historic downtown. Downtown Rome was the dream of dreams, and that is exactly where I landed. I completely fell in love with Rome and the community during my time with the Rome Braves and the City of Rome, so I made it my permanent home and have no plan to leave
