What is your/your family's "why" for running your business?

It was always a dream of mine to have a women's boutique. Our mission was to bring items in that would fit all shapes and sizes, along with prices that would fit everyone's budget. We also wanted to make our customers feel extra special and get a true customized boutique shopping experience with friendly faces and excellent customer service.

Tell us a little about yourself, your family(if family business) or work family:

I'm from Dalton, GA, but moved to Rome 20 years ago when I met my husband, Don. Don has been in medical sales for many years and I started my career in nursing (how we met!). I moved on to esthetics a few years after and really enjoyed being in the beauty industry. I've met some really wonderful people along my journey! After 12 years, I decided to make a career change and open Apricot Lane Boutique.

Why do you choose Floyd County for yourself/family and your business?

We have loved growing our family and raising our children in Rome. There's a lot to do, especially around the downtown area, and the schools are great. Rome has really accepted Apricot Lane Boutique with open arms and we couldn't be more grateful for that. We have had a wonderful experience thus far and look forward to continuing to give back in any way we can.
