For the first time in over twenty years, the U.S. is experiencing increased demand for electricity due to re-shoring of manufacturing and, most acutely, deployment of data centers and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Georgia is experiencing both. This talk will discuss key issues regarding the national security value of data centers/AI and Georgia’s capacity to attract and serve this industry while continuing to prioritize reliability and affordability.
