Manco Logistics
Manco Logistics is a transportation broker headquartered in Rome, Georgia with five locations around the Southeast. Manco acts as an intermediary between shippers and carriers. Rates are negotiated with carriers on behalf of our customers to move their products. Manco makes sure the shipments arrive at their destination on time.

Logistics Coordinator 
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for identifying carriers and negotiating load pricing with that carrier. They build and maintain carrier relationships, act as the carrier's primary contact during the movement of a load and report any issues to the shipment's respective Account Manager. The Logistics Coordinator is also responsible for answering the phones in a timely manner and assisting a wide array of customer/carrier needs.
The logistics coordinator works in the office and spends a majority of their time at the desk communicating with carriers.
Logistics Coordinators will be held to performance metrics based on call volumes and the number of loads booked.

Job Responsibilities:
-Speaking with carrier partners and pitching available loads
-Building and maintaining good carrier relationships
-Negotiating rates and assigning loads to carrier partners
-Sending rate confirmations to carriers and ensuring the confirmations are returned
-Tracking shipments throughout the life of the load, from booking with a carrier to the delivery of the shipment
-Communicating all issues to the shipment's respective Account Manager
-Answering phones and assisting callers in a timely manner

Requirements:
-At least 18 years of age
-High School Diploma or GED
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Basic knowledge of US Geography
-Above average keyboarding and software skills
-Willingness to be a team player
-Able to operate in a fast-paced environment
-Reliable transportation and cell phone communication are required
Preferences:
-Individuals with a customer service or support background
-Knowledge of the freight or trucking industry
-Strong problem-solving ability
-Self-motivated person with a desire to advance in the company

Reports to:
Assigned Account Manager

Compensation:
 Hourly plus commission based on profitability of loads booked
