Special Services Program Coordinator
We are looking for a Special Services Program Coordinator!
The purpose of this classification is to develop, plan, coordinate and implement programs and services for the Special Services division of Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority.
Responsibilities
- Assists with daily operations Special Services Division with Lock and Dam Campground, Dog Park, trails and the gymnastics program.
- Directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing part time employee performance appraisals.
- Conducts part time staff meetings; consults with assigned staff, assists with complex/problem situations.
- Coordinates registration process for gymnastics, camps, birthday parties and front desk operations.
- Supervises Gymnastics Birthday Party Program and Open Gyms on Friday evenings.
- Assists with lesson planning and coaching as needed.
- Develops new programs, recommends changes, monitors results and retention, and generates operational reports as needed.
- Maintains program accounting and administrative records, tracks expenditures and revenue, and orders supplies and equipment in accordance with department policies.
- Must be able to work non-traditional hours such as mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays on occasion.
- Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation Programming, Health, Physical Education or related field and 3 years of experience in coordinating and managing recreational activities or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for the job.
