ABOUT BERRY SOFTBALLBerry College softball began its inaugural season in 2010.  In just twelve seasons, the program has risen to the top of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) and been competitive on the national stage, most recently in the spring of 2022, finishing 3rd in the NCAA Division III College World Series.  Since 2013, the Vikings have won seven of the last nine SAA Regular Season Championships and five of the previous seven SAA Tournament Championships and have advanced to the NCAA Regional Championship five of the previous seven seasons. In 2018, the Vikings clinched the NCAA Division III Atlanta Regional title to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals for the first time in program history.  Berry has also had seven NFCA All-Americans, four CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 64 All-Conference Selections, 94 SAA Academic Honor Roll honorees, and numerous athletes on the NFCA Scholar-Athlete list, and NFCA All-Academic Team honors each season since 2011.  This is a unique opportunity to build upon a strong foundation within a nationally competitive program and athletic department with multiple nationally-ranked teams.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the successful candidate will be responsible for all facets of Berry College’s nationally competitive softball program.  The candidate will demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, Division III athletics, and an appreciation for and commitment to NCAA, Southern Athletic Association (SAA), and institutional culture.  Along with coaching responsibilities, the candidate will be assigned administrative duties in the Department of Athletics.  The ideal candidate will have experience creating campus and community support for the softball program and its athletes and continuing to build upon and sustain a successful athletic program. 
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of six (6) years of experience in collegiate coaching experience. Previous coaching experience on the NCAA Division III collegiate level is preferred. This position includes competitive benefits and a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
