Simulation Coordinator - Nursing

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Division of Nursing at Berry College invites applications for a Nursing Skills Lab and Simulation Coordinator. The Nursing Skills Lab and Simulation Lab Coordinator is a 10-month staff member that will plan, operate, coordinate, and oversee the nursing skills lab and simulation for the BSN program.

The Nursing Skills and Simulation coordinator will work collaboratively with the Nursing Division Director and Nursing faculty to ensure safe and effective use of the simulation lab and skills lab facilities. The coordinator will teach as an adjunct clinical instructor and function as a simulation technician each semester in laboratory-based courses or as designated by the Nursing Program Director as needed. Berry's Nursing Program is accredited by CCNE and approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing

The Division of Nursing at Berry College was launched in the Fall of 2012 and has quickly matured into a first-rate program as evidenced by NCLEX pass rates and the quality and diversity of our graduates' job placements. Rome is northwest Georgia's regional center for healthcare, with two area hospitals and the largest privately-owned multi-specialty physician group in the state. A major new continuing care retirement community, The Spires at Berry College, is located on campus, offering opportunities for student clinical experience in skilled nursing, memory care, assisted living, and rehabilitation. Nursing faculty ]have the opportunity to partner with faculty in Kinesiology to promote health, wellness, and activity in Berry's intergenerational campus community (including children attending on-campus laboratory schools).

 


REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. Three years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse. Have current knowledge of nursing practice for the registered nurse.
