General Job Description: This position will support production by maintaining constant control of Wastewater accumulation and discharge to the City Of Rome. This position requires the ability to acquire a wastewater operator’s license. Also provide maintenance and perform preventive maintenance in all production areas, utilizing Kaizen in these areas to support production.

The areas of responsibility will include but will not be limited to:

Wastewater System: This area requires an excellent understanding of the desired results, as it would apply to the recovery of waste from the painting process. This includes all pumps, piping, tanks, structure associated with the wastewater system both inside and outside. Monitoring of wastewater and maintaining controls within limits set by the state permit will be vital to the operation. Limits are to be maintained using all proper operational techniques, and the governing of the disposal of resulting waste. This position requires a wastewater operator’s license for the class of service required.

Compressed Air System: Correct pressure and quality of compressed air must be maintained at all times. Machinery includes Atlas Copco air compressors and air dryers, receiver tank, and all valves, piping, pumps, filters, and gauges associated with the system.

Air Conditioning System: Responsible for Preventative maintenance of all Air Conditioning systems including office rooftop DX units and plant cooling units. Also space heating in the selected areas of the building is included and must be maintained in a good operational and clean condition.

Maintenance Department: Assist maintenance department with any work incidental to the above responsibilities. Overtime and emergency work, both nights and weekends, as well as holidays as needed.

Other skills and duties required:

  • 5 years experience in an industrial environment with general knowledge and skills in electrical, welding, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is required.
  • Document PM’s, log sheets and maintain maintenance history files, and preventive maintenance history on each Machine, both electronically and hard copy.
  • Must produce wastewater reports
  • Perform wastewater analysis
  • Send out WWT samples for lab analysis and follow thru with results
  • Must become familiar with WWT regulations and operate the system within these regulations
  • Report any problems or regulation violations to Maintenance Engineer Immediately
  • Must work hand in hand with Painting Team Leader
  • Other duties as assigned
