Collection Services Coordinator, Memorial Library

JOB DESCRIPTION

Berry College seeks a Collections Services Coordinator who will be a key operational leader for purchasing new resources, preparing resources for addition to the library collection, maintaining organization of the library's collections, adding resource records, and processing lending and borrowing requests for interlibrary loan.

The position is responsible for maintaining access to electronic records, serving as the first tier for troubleshooting issues, and contributing to a collaborative culture in the library. Reporting to the Discovery Services Librarian, this position will be dedicated to implementing workflows and giving feedback, supervising work quality, and providing training for the Library Assistant and student staff.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and have a minimum of one year of full-time work in a library or similar organization. Applicants should have proficiency using Microsoft Office products, and familiarity and comfort with computer technology, in general, as well as the ability to adapt to and use new systems. Applicants should have knowledge of current practices and standards in some aspect of library collections services (acquisitions, cataloging, and/or interlibrary loan), and familiarity with a library classification system and copy cataloging procedures. Previous experience with WorldShare Management Services (WMS), Tipasa, and/or Connexion is preferred.
