- Administer medications as prescribed by MD/NP per order or protocol.
- Responsible for supervising CNAs and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Responsible for CNA assignments and ensuring all resident are attended to as plan of care indicates.
- Monitor and observe resident condition: reporting abnormal findings and changes to MD/NP as necessary. Includes taking vital and determining resident baseline and changes.
- Using professional nursing judgement to determine immediate need/evaluation/change of care.
- Basic wound care including: cleaning and bandaging injured areas per facility protocol.
- Basic computer skills: ability to use facility program to administer medication, input orders and document daily nurses notes as necessary.
