Operations Supervisor
We are looking for an Operations Supervisor!
The purpose of this classification is to supervise staff associated with the construction, repair, and maintenance of county facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provides supervision, direction, and guidance to employees; organizes workload; makes work assignments; monitors work in progress; inspects completed work.
- Evaluate maintenance needs and assign proper resources.
- Meet contractors to direct work.
- Manage payroll, vacations, and evaluations.
- Manage on-call needs.
- Assists in hiring of new employees.
- Assists in planning, organizing, and supervising projects associated with the construction, repairs and maintenance of county facilities; and ensures inmate security throughout the department.
- Operates a motor vehicle, maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Adheres to safety procedures, monitors work environment and county facilities for safety and compliance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of related experience in corrections, public works, inmate work detail supervision; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must posses or obtain a valid Peace Officer’s Standards and Training certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
