Certification Officer and Data Analyst of Teacher Education

 The Department of Teacher Education at Berry College invites applications for a certification officer and data analyst to begin immediately.  
The Certification Officer reports directly to the Director of Accreditation and Technology and works closely with the Director of Field Experience and Clinical Practice, the Director of Teacher Education, the Teacher Education Unit, and P-12 personnel to coordinate field experiences and clinical practices.  The Certification officer also will manage data collection and reporting for GaPSC accreditation and assist with processing graduate application materials.
Primary responsibilities include verifying requirements necessary for Teacher Education candidates to secure Georgia certification; processing all teacher education paperwork to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission; assisting with field experience/clinical practice placements during both fall and spring semesters; verifying students have completed background checks on file in the office; receiving all undergraduate initial applications to the Teacher Education Program; entering data into teacher education databases; adding course key assessments (both undergraduate and graduate) into LiveText; processing graduate education application materials; and other assigned duties.

 The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of teacher education (both undergraduate and graduate level), Georgia Professional Standards rules and regulations, Title II, and Traditional Program Management System (TMPS). Applicants should have at the minimum a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Teacher Education or related field, strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Prior experience working with LiveText, E2ma, and Salesforce (or other Customer Relationship Management) is desired.
