Job Summary

This position serves as the point-of-contact for the division and provides routine administrative support to the units within the Enrollment Management Division.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for understanding, supporting, and carrying out the college's mission, vision, and values and complying with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies

• Greets and directs visitors, resolves routine administrative issues and answers inquiries concerning activities and operations of the division; drafts or prepares responses to routine inquiries

• Enters class schedules and percentages of technology used into Banner; updates and revises class schedules as appropriate

• Organizes and maintains inventory of Enrollment Management supplies and distributes as needed

• Prepares requisitions and orders for Enrollment Management units, maintains purchase and budget records; assists in developing and monitoring the division budget(s); reconciles monthly statements; assists in developing and monitoring the division budget; maintains purchasing records; State Purchasing Cardholder

• Serves as a tuition classification officer by processing residency petitions and lawful presence tuition updates

• Serves as a back-up to front-desk staff on the Floyd campus as needed

• Responds to student inquiries submitted to various GHC 411 ticket queues

• Assists in the phone queue as needed

• Serves as a Virtual HUB host for a set number of hours per week and fills in additional hours as needed

• Accepts, screens, and routes division telephone calls; maintains log of inquiries as required

• Sorts, screens, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail for the Enrollment Management Division

• Operates and oversees maintenance of departmental office equipment

• Makes departmental travel and lodging arrangements, either directly or through travel agencies

• Serves as a liaison with other departments/divisions on basic administrative and/or operational matters

• Registers students as needed

• Performs related duties

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of an associates degree in a course of study related to the occupational field

• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one (1) to two (2) years

• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated

Proposed Salary

$35,000 annually
