Job Summary


This position oversees compliance, academic and business services for the Athletics Department.


Responsibilities


• Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.

• Oversees the departments compliance, eligibility, financial aid, along with academic support responsibilities.

• Advises the coaching staff and student athletes on the GHC athletics policy and procedures protocol.

• Ensures that the athletic department complies with USG, Title IX, Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) conference, and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national regulations.

• Serves as a Title IX investigator for the college

• Sorts, screens, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail

• Establishes, maintains, processes, and updates hard copy and data files, records, certificates, and/or other documents in compliance with record management guidelines

• Prepares data analysis of division initiatives; provides data reports and disseminates information to relevant parties

• Assists with programmatic research and processes Banner reports for academic information

• Oversees office space and equipment including maintenance; manages facilities requests and work orders for the division.

• Assists in developing and monitoring the division budget

• Coordinates classroom assignment/tech details for classes, events and meetings.

• Assists with event planning and facilitation for division and institution as requested. Organizes programs, events, meetings or conferences by arranging facilities and caters, issuing information or invitations, publicizing events, and maintaining event budgets.

• Assists in coordinating and implementing training sessions for the division

• Serves as a liaison with other divisions/departments on basic administrative and/or operational matters

• Oversees work assignment/schedule for student employee(s).

• Oversees athletic team budgets and financial matters related to accounts payable and invoicing

• Assists with preparation of Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act EADA reporting

• Assists with departmental fundraising

• Assists with capital projects and financial tracking

• Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications


• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field

• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department in order to direct and coordinate work within the division/department, usually interpreted to require three to five years of related experience

• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
