Amber Grace Community is a safe, supportive residential community for adults with mild intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located on the campus of Berry College in Rome, GA, our mission is to cultivate a Christ-led Abundant Life for every Neighbor (our residents), their Families, and the Communities we serve. We accomplish this vision through a unique model of having Support Families do life alongside 6 Neighbors who live in individual apartment homes with shared communal living space. We have 8 Houses capable of serving 24 women and 24 men with mild IDD. Support Families have committed to serving these six Neighbors in their House as part of their own families--eating dinners together daily, attending church together on Sundays, and generally being available for emotional, spiritual, and physical support as needed. Coupled with our daily NeighborLIfe programming where Neighbors will continue to discover, grow, and develop their personal strengths and interests, we envision offering a life full of purpose and connection for our community.

On January 30th and 31st of 2026, we will open our community fully to the public for the first time! All of Rome, Floyd County, and surrounding areas are invited to join us onsite for a tour of our facilities and an introduction to our Staff. We look forward to networking and partnering with our greater community as we seek to build and make connections to further enhance the opportunities, we can provide to our future Neighbors who may enjoy working, volunteering, and serving within our greater community. Our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 30. Feel free to come by for a visit and tour anytime from 10am to 5pm that Friday or 9am to 5pm on Saturday, January 31st. We look forward to welcoming everyone.
